Update all or part of your home’s wiring with a tidy, carefully planned rewire. We agree a fixed price upfront so you know the cost before work starts.

Ageing cables and accessories can leave a home with worn insulation, inadequate earthing on lighting circuits or too few useful sockets. A rewire renews the wiring, accessories and consumer unit. The completed installation is tested and certified, giving you electrics designed for the way the home is used.
Our Leighton Buzzard team rewires homes throughout Beds, Herts & Bucks. We protect furniture and floors while working and leave the house clean at the end of every day.
Have the installation assessed if you find rubber- or fabric-covered wiring, rewireable fuses, older round-pin sockets, persistent tripping or flickering lights. Scorching and burning smells need urgent attention. Age or appearance alone cannot confirm that a rewire is needed; an EICR helps establish the wiring’s condition.

Before starting, we agree a fixed price and plan the position of each light, switch and socket with you. That applies whether you are rewiring the whole property or concentrating on a kitchen, extension or individual floor.

Think about how you want to use each room while planning a rewire. It is an opportunity to include more sockets, USB points, data cabling and new lighting, as well as outdoor power and provision for an EV charger.

We include a new consumer unit with modern RCD protection in every rewire. Once installation is complete, the work is tested and covered by an Electrical Installation Certificate, and we notify building control.

Rewiring affects your home as well as your electrics, so there is plenty to plan. Below, we explain the likely timescale, whether you can stay at home and what the work means for walls and floors.
For a typical three-bedroom property, allow about five to ten working days. Access to cable routes and the size of the house affect the programme. Your quote will include a clear estimate of the time required.
In most cases you can remain at home. We work through the rooms in stages and can leave some power available each evening. An empty property is easier to work in, so it is often convenient to arrange rewiring before a move or when redecorating.
Cable routes may require channels in the walls and access beneath floorboards. We limit that disturbance as far as possible and make good after the work, leaving the affected areas ready for plastering or decoration.
Our priority is safe electrical work. You’ll be dealing with fully insured electricians with City & Guilds qualifications and NAPIT registration. We are also listed on the Register of Competent Persons (Electrical). To hear how customers rate the work and service, take a look at our 5 star reviews.
